Our house is a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath trilevel. We are asking
$239,900 for the house. It is of frame and brick construction and
built in 1985. It sits on slightly more than half an acre (91 x 230
ft.) It has central air conditioning, a dishwasher, 2 car garage,
and we are on city water and sewer. We use gas for heating, cooking,
and hot water. There is a humidifier built onto the furnace.
We put in a new hot water heater about 3 years ago. Some other
details about the house:
It is parcel number 07-02-101-020 in the City of Warrenville,
Township of Naperville.
(This is the back of the house and the steps up to the deck as seen
through a lilac and honeysuckle bush.) Our country kitchen
(I think that means it has a lot of cabinets and counter space) has a skylight.
Dining room has sliding glass door to large deck. There are
beautiful views of trees and flowers from every window. Newer oak
parquet floor in dining and living rooms. Spacious family room has
raised hearth fireplace w/gas starter. Master bedroom has private
bathroom, all
3
bedrooms have good sized closets. The concrete crawl space
has a regular door for easy access to storage. Our large yard is
already planted for you with flowering perennials, berries, and fruit trees,
a small prairie, and many other trees and shrubs. The soil is great
for gardeners, and we see a lot of birds. We have an extra wiide
driveway which parks up to 8 cars. We have nice neighbors, and are
walking distance to the library and post office.
Here is a picture of the house from this May. We have many more
photos, mostly showing trees and flowers, because there are so many of
them that it is hard to see the house itself. Email
us atjcolsmith@worldnet.att.net
for more photos. Click on any photo to see it larger. The first
picture shows the front of the house in winter when you can actually see
the outline.
Facing the other way we have a look NW across the yard. These are
numerous raspberry bushes and a clematis inside the fence, and a trumpet
vine blooming over it all. Our yard goes back much further.
See our garden
page for more info on all the things we grow here.
This final photo shows a view of our vegetable garden, the bird house
post, and a cherry tree (right) with our pines behind the garden.
You can see part of the prairie in the far right.
From the size of the sunflowers you can surmise how fabulous our dirt
is! And it's organic, no Miracle Grow here. Lots of birds live
in our yard, too.
